Inspired by Miss. R, probably the sweetest thing I've ever written for a girl. A real hit at an awful dorm party in Rutgers circa 2007 -- it got at least one dude laid at that party (not me).
Originally released as part of a 7 song EP in 2008 under the name Efrain Calderon.
lyrics
I've been told my heart is made of wire, and I am smart
But all the sense of man can't understand a smile such as yours
And I've been told that you've been known to hold me in your stare
and to beware and well aware you're coming for me
and you will
This love so naturally in every seed in every leaf in every tree it dwells within them all eternally
And if you finally see what follows life -- eternity
Then follow death and find my kiss upon your forehead and be still
This love so powerful it flows through me, it shivers leaves, it shakes the trees, it lifts the seas, it calls you to me
and it will
And if you finally see what follows life -- eternity
Then swallow death and feel my kiss upon your forehead and be still
